Pont de Saint-Projet

In the upper Dordogne valley, the Saint-Projet suspension bridge spans the Dordogne river in a single span of 195 meters. It links the communes of Neuvic in Corrèze and Auriac in Cantal. The old bridge, built in the 19th century, was replaced by a new one in 1945 during the construction of the Aigle dam, built from 1941 to 1945, as the old one was drowned by the dam's retention.
