To help you discover the secret and infinite charms of Corrèze and the Dordogne valley, we've designed 8 tourist routes for you to take by car or motorbike, ranging from 100 to 132 km. Ideally distributed geographically, they have plenty of surprises in store to give you a taste of the astonishing diversity of Corrèze's natural and built heritage.

The Corrèze has a lot to offer. To explore it by motorhome for a weekend or a week, we suggest 3 routes. There are more than 60 reception areas where you can stop off and appreciate the efforts made by tourism professionals and local authorities to welcome you in the best possible conditions.

This old road, on the former route of the D679 linking Meymac and Bugeat, will appeal to lovers of the picturesque and nostalgic. Planted with beech trees all along the way, it is charming in all seasons and offers a remarkable view over the Farges valley.

This historic route, named after the confluence of the Dordogne and Triouzoune rivers, then known as the ‘ajustement’, runs alongside the valley in a wild and picturesque setting, with forests of local hardwoods and cascading streams.
On this open tourist route between the Aigle and Marège dams, cross the Vernéjoux bridge and the Saint Projet bridge in this Mecca of the Resistance.

The castles of Rochechouard, Montbrun, Châlus, Lastours, Jumilhac, Coussac, Ségur-le-Château, Pompadour and the fortified church of Le Chalard formed a barrier defending the Viscounty of Limoges to the south. The Richard the Lionheart Route, named after the king who died besieging the castle of Châlus-Chabrol in 1199, takes in these historic sites.

For lovers of great cycling expeditions, the Corrèze ‘La Vagabonde’ cycle route invites you to discover Corrèze along a unique 157km route. From the Plateau de Millevaches to the Dordogne Valley, take a journey through some surprising and typically Corrèze scenery. A change of scenery awaits you!

In 260 km, 12 to 14 days' walking, this Route to Rocamadour and Santiago de Compostela allows you to discover the landscapes and heritage of Creuse, Haute-Vienne, Corrèze and Lot. You'll pass through some famous places (Bénévent, Eymoutiers, Treignac, Tulle, Aubazine, Collonges-la-Rouge, Martel and the Dordogne Valley) as well as lesser-known places that are just as beautiful and authentic.

The Route de la Noix du Périgord criss-crosses the walnut-growing area (Corrèze, Lot and Dordogne), offering discovery itineraries based around 4 varieties of A.O.P. Noix du Périgord: Franquette, Grandjean, Corne and Marbot. The products concerned are fresh walnuts, dry walnuts, A.O.P. Noix du Périgord walnut kernels and A.O.C. Noix du Périgord walnut oil. Visits and events will enable you to discover the Noix du Périgord and Noix de Périgord walnut oil, which have inspired tales and legends for centuries, and to meet the people who make a living from them.

The Route de la Pomme du Limousin (Limousin Apple Trail) is designed to showcase the rich variety of local produce that gives the A.O.P. Pomme du Limousin its distinctive character. Visits to orchards and cooperatives, discovering apple-based specialities at restaurants, craftsmen and farm producers, and walking tours will help you get to know and appreciate this juicy, crunchy fruit, with its subtle balance between sugar and acidity.
